Expect that it should be easy, and it’s likely to be

The other day, I had one of those great days where things that I have been fretting over, just got magically solved.

I wasn’t particularly masterful in my actions, but I was in a masterful mood: grateful, aware of the beauty in my environment, and not worried about small things.

Since it’s such a great mindset, it would be to my advantage to notice what brings it on so that I can live that way more often. In my case this time, it started by being grateful that my older pet is out of trouble health-wise.

What brings you to that place when it happens to you?

Here’s another example to remember: I was struggling with something technical (technology and I aren’t always on the best of terms). I noticed my frustration level had been rising fast and furious, so I took a deep breath and said to myself: “It can’t be this hard”.

Then I took another look and solved the issue within seconds. All because I set my expectations that it had to be easy if I let it be.

What if I (and you) did that more often for all aspects of my business?

Helene,

Great point. It’s amazing how a simple change in perspective can make all the difference. Sometimes it’s telling yourself it’s not that hard, sometimes it’s giving yourself permission to ask for help and sometimes it’s about letting yourself take a break and come back to it later when you’re fresh.

Thanks for the reminder about something I already know, but often forget!
